Interior Designer – Fitout Works (UAE Driving License Required)

Job Summary

We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Interior Designer with proven experience in interior fitout projects. The candidate will be responsible for conceptual design development, preparation of detailed drawings, client coordination, and site supervision. A valid UAE driving license is mandatory for client meetings and site visits across project locations.

Key ResponsibilitiesDesign & Concept Development

• Develop creative design concepts for commercial, retail, hospitality, and residential fitout projects.
• Prepare mood boards, material boards, and 3D visual presentations.
• Translate client requirements into functional and aesthetically appealing designs.
• Prepare space planning layouts and presentation drawings.

Technical & Documentation

• Prepare detailed design drawings, including:
• Layout plans
• Reflected ceiling plans
• Elevations and sections
• Joinery details
• Finishes schedules
• Coordinate with Civil and MEP teams for design integration.
• Prepare BOQs and material specifications.
• Ensure compliance with UAE authority regulations and building codes.

Project Coordination & Site Supervision

• Conduct site visits to monitor progress and ensure design implementation as per approved drawings.
• Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and project managers.
• Review shop drawings and material submittals.
• Resolve design-related issues on site.
• Attend client meetings and provide design updates.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Interior Design or Architecture.
• Minimum 3–5 years of UAE experience in interior fitout projects.
• Strong portfolio showcasing completed fitout projects.
• Proficiency in:
• AutoCAD (Mandatory)
• SketchUp / 3Ds Max / Lumion
• Adobe Creative Suite
• MS Office
• Strong knowledge of materials, finishes, and fitout detailing.
• Familiarity with UAE authority approval processes (DM, DDA, Trakhees, etc.).
• Valid UAE Driving License (Mandatory).
• Strong communication and client-handling skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in commercial office and retail fitout projects.
• Knowledge of Revit is an advantage.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong presentation and negotiation skills.
