Interior Designer Freelance

Compensation: $75 per hour (Hourly Contract)

Role Overview We are hiring an Intermediate Interior Designer on an hourly basis who can jump in as needed, sometimes with 24 hours’ notice. You are a self-starter who takes ownership from concept to install, comfortable moving between creative development, technical documentation, client presentations, and coordination with architects, fabricators, and contractors. Responsibilities - Develop design concepts, mood boards, and client presentations for luxury residential projects - Produce floor plans, elevations, RCPs, and construction documents in AutoCAD or Revit -

Read and integrate architectural drawings into cohesive interior solutions - Specify FF&E;, lighting, finishes, and materials with precise documentation and sourcing notes - Coordinate with project managers, architects, fabricators, trades, and vendors - Manage samples, procurement tracking, and vendor communication - Conduct site measures and visits, document field conditions, and support punch lists - Turn work around quickly while maintaining a meticulous level of detail

Qualifications - Bachelor’s in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field - 4–7 years professional experience (luxury residential preferred) - Strong ability to read and interpret architectural and construction drawings - Proficiency in AutoCAD or Revit, plus SketchUp and Adobe Creative Suite - Excellent organization, documentation, and presentation skills - Comfortable with fast timelines and shifting priorities - Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites in the LA area

Schedule and Terms - Hourly contract role at $75/hour - On call as needed, sometimes within 24 hours’ notice - Mostly business hours with occasional evenings or weekends to meet deadlines - Must be available on-site in Los Angeles
