Interior Designer (Kitchen, Bath, Lower Level)

J&J Contractors I LLC is a NARI award-winning, family-owned interior and exterior remodeling company specializing in high-quality home transformations. We are seeking an experienced Interior Designer to join our Design Team and lead clients through the design and selections process from concept through construction.

This is a client-facing role that works closely with Sales, Drafting, and Project Management teams to develop practical and buildable design solutions while maintaining project timelines and budgets.

What You’ll Do

  • Meet with clients to develop design concepts and project selections
  • Guide clients through the design and selections process from concept through construction
  • Visit job sites to evaluate existing conditions and project requirements
  • Assist Sales and Drafting teams during project development
  • Coordinate client selection appointments with vendors and suppliers
  • Assist clients at vendor showrooms and supplier locations with material selections
  • Develop drawings, layouts, and finish plans for client approval
  • Create material finish boards and selection packages
  • Work with vendors to obtain pricing, specifications, and product information
  • Manage and document selections using BuilderTrend
  • Ensure projects stay within design timelines and budget guidelines
  • Prepare and manage change orders related to design selections
  • Coordinate ordering of materials and selection items
  • Communicate design updates and revisions to Project Managers
  • Make site visits to verify material deliveries and installation details
  • Maintain organized project documentation
  • Participate in weekly Design Team meetings

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field
  • 3+ years of residential remodeling design experience
  • Proven client-facing design experience
  • Portfolio of residential design work
  • Proficiency with design software such as 2020, SketchUp, Chief Architect or similar programs
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational and documentation skills
  • Availability Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM (Full-Time , On-site)
  • Valid driver’s license

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
