Rockwell Interiors is a high-end residential + boutique hospitality interior design firm located in Solana Beach, CA, managing many jobs/projects at a time. We are looking for an Interior Designer with a strong interest in the project management and purchasing/procurement side of the business. Ideal candidate has a degree in Interior Design, professional experience working in the field, and can act as part time designer/part time purchasing and procurement, collaborating with design work, drafting CD's in AutoCAD, modeling in SketchUp, sourcing finishes, and creating professional presentations. *Photoshop and other programs a plus
Skills: Highly organized, smart, and self-motivated. Team player. Able to wear many hats and can handle a fast-paced environment. Ideal candidate would have experience in the Interior Design industry and experience with Design Manager software, and have an understanding of the purchasing process of the interior design industry. Good, professional and friendly phone skills and customer service is a must. Position will assist principal and designers as needed with ordering samples, inquiring on pricing, showroom runs, scheduling and email correspondences. Duties would include answering phones, greeting clients, scheduling appointments, managing the needs of the office; re-ordering supplies when needed, social media + marketing, writing product specifications, creating proposals/purchase orders/invoices, purchasing and overseeing orders and project management- Assisting the principal in various ways required by the day to day . Someone who is creative and passionate about the design/construction industry is desired, ideally an interior designer who enjoys the purchasing and procurement side of the business, as well as CAD drafting, SketchUp and making high quality presentations.
