Residential Interior Designer (hybrid, full-time)

Rise Up Home is an interior design studio that focuses on creating livable and functional spaces looking for a full-time Interior Designer to join our team. Our projects include high-end residential homes in the Bay Area. Our smaller studio offers design professionals unique opportunities and more creativity on all areas of the projects. This position is ideal for a designer that values structure, collaboration and long-term growth within a design focused studio.

We are seeking an experienced Interior Designer to join our team. The right candidate is able to combine their strong technical skills with their drive for design. The designer is seamlessly able to translate design concepts into detailed plans, while also developing furniture, lighting and interior styling concepts that elevate the overall project.

Key Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

• Support multiple residential projects through all phases from initial concept to installation
• Produce drawings and documentation for interior architecture, floor plans, elevations and construction drawings
• Draft construction documents such as tile and stone layouts, millwork details, reflected ceiling plans, and electrical plans
• Prepare custom furniture drawings, including plans, elevations, and perspectives
• Coordinate with vendors, contractors and showrooms to obtain quotes, lead times, and samples.
• Review specifications for plumbing fixtures, windows, doors, appliances, and furniture items
• Coordinate with vendors and receivers to support production schedules and deliveries.
• Attend client meetings and site visits as needed.
• Maintain and organize the sample library.

About You:

• 3-5+ years of professional residential interior design experience
• Degree in Interior Design, Architecture or related field (AAS or higher)
• Strong understanding of kitchen, bathrooms and residential construction details
• Must be in Bay Area and have reliable transportation
• Proven experience producing technical drawings, renderings and space plans
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Sketchup, Clickup, Google Suite, and Canva is a must
• Self starter and team player- reliable, dependable with strong work ethic with the ability to work both independently from home as well as collaboratively in team
• Exceptional presentation, communication and organizational skills.
• Must be detail oriented with great time management and ability to multitask across multiple projects

Hours: 40 hours/week, (flexible)

Salary: Competitive salary based on experience

Work Location: Remote and on-site (client or Rise Up Home office)
