Job Title - Client-Facing Interior Designer — Sales

Experience - 2–5 years

Salary - ₹25,000 – ₹35,000 per month (based on experience and skill level)

Role Overview

The Client-Facing Interior Designer – Sales will own the complete customer journey from enquiry to order closure. This role combines interior design expertise with consultative sales, delivering functional, aesthetic, and commercially viable interior solutions. The position requires strong client interaction, design presentation skills, and coordination with architects, contractors, and execution teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage the end-to-end client journey from initial enquiry through design consultation and order closure

- Capture client requirements and convert them into practical and visually appealing interior design solutions

- Create concept layouts, mood boards, and design presentations aligned with client needs and brand standards

- Select appropriate materials, finishes, modular systems, and ergonomic solutions

- Prepare clear pricing options, BOQs, and detailed proposals

- Present design concepts confidently and address client queries related to design and cost

- Coordinate with architects, contractors, and internal teams for smooth execution

- Support site coordination to ensure design intent is implemented accurately

- Maintain accurate drawings, documentation, and costing using AutoCAD/SketchUp and Excel

Requirements & Qualifications

- 2–5 years of experience in design-build firms, modular interior companies, or premium interior showrooms

- Strong communication and client-handling skills with a sales-oriented mindset

- Good aesthetic sensibility and attention to detail

- Working knowledge of modular systems, ergonomics, materials, and finishes

- Proficiency in AutoCAD or SketchUp

- Strong working knowledge of Excel for costing and proposals

- Ability to manage multiple client engagements and meet timelines

Key Outcome Metrics (KPIs)

- Lead-to-order conversion rate

- Average order value (AOV)

- Number of qualified proposals issued

- Client satisfaction and repeat business

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)

- Experience in residential or commercial modular interiors

- Exposure to site execution and vendor coordination

- Strong presentation and negotiation skills
