Interior Fit-Out Estimator

Commercial Manager / Quantity Surveyor / Project Director

Job Purpose:

To prepare accurate cost estimates, budgets, and tender submissions for interior fit-out and joinery projects, ensuring competitiveness, profitability, and compliance with project requirements.

Key Responsibilities1. Estimation & Costing

• Study drawings, specifications, BOQs, and tender documents.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates for:
• Interior fit-out works
• Joinery, partitions, ceilings, flooring, MEP coordination, finishes
• Take off quantities from drawings and specifications.
• Prepare pricing for materials, labor, subcontractors, and equipment.
• Analyze drawings for discrepancies and raise RFIs where required.

2. Tendering & Bidding

• Prepare complete tender submissions within deadlines.
• Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Compare vendor prices and negotiate best rates.
• Prepare rate analysis and cost breakdowns.
• Ensure compliance with tender requirements and scope.

3. Budget & Cost Control

• Prepare project budgets after award.
• Support project team with cost monitoring and variations.
• Prepare cost comparison between estimated and actual project costs.
• Assist in evaluating variation orders and additional works.

4. Documentation & Reporting

• Prepare BOQs, cost sheets, and tender summaries.
• Maintain database of material and subcontractor rates.
• Keep records of tenders, awarded projects, and pricing history.

5. Coordination

• Work closely with:
• Design and technical teams
• Procurement department
• Project managers
• Site engineers and QS

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in:
• Civil Engineering
• Quantity Surveying
• Construction Management
• Or related field

Experience Required

• 3–8 years experience in interior fit-out estimation
• Strong knowledge of:
• UAE market rates
• Joinery, gypsum, ceilings, flooring, finishes, MEP coordination

Skills & Competencies

• Excellent quantity take-off skills
• Strong knowledge of interior materials and finishes
• Proficiency in:
• Excel
• AutoCAD
• Estimation software (if applicable)
• Strong negotiation and analytical skills
• Ability to work under tight deadlines
• Attention to detail and accuracy

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: AED6,000.00 - AED9,000.00 per month
