We are a dynamic and growing interior design firm specializing in new construction and heavy remodel projects. As we continue to expand, we are looking for a Intermediate Interior Design Manager to join our team and play a pivotal role in leading our design direction, and playing a part in conceptually building the design for our projects including documentation and specification write ups.
About the Role
As the Intermediate Interior Designer , you will be responsible for overseeing and guiding the design team while ensuring all projects meet our high standards. You will actively seek new vendor opportunities, cultivate trade and builder relationships, and work closely with our Clients. Your role will be instrumental in shaping the creative vision of our projects and maintaining the integrity of our designs.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaboration and Team Environment: Collaborate and contribute a high level of design in a team relationship to ensure our projects feel unique and custom to our clients.
- Design Vision: Strongly and Creatively build the design direction for projects from conceptual through to final design for projects. Review and approve design schemes, ensuring alignment with client goals and company standards.
- Project Collaboration: Work closely with the the team Lead / Design Assistant and owner to develop strategic design plans and maintain brand consistency.
- Client & Builder Engagement: Demonstrate onsite building knowledge for residential construction and effectively communicate the design vision and resolve project challenges.
- Construction Knowledge: Apply a deep understanding of construction processes to ensure feasibility and quality execution of designs.
- Presentation & Execution: Involvement in design presentations, ensuring they are compelling, detailed, and client-focused.
- Problem Solving: Address design and project challenges with creativity and efficiency, maintaining a proactive and solution-oriented mindset. Extreme organization is key.
Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in interior design with a strong focus on new construction and heavy remodels.
- Strong skills in CANVA , CAD and 3d / AI tools to build out the design documentation for each project
- College Degree in Interior Design
- Extensive experience collaborating with builders and clients on job sites.
- Deep understanding of all materials and fixtures required to complete a custom residential construction project - including vendor knowledge for resource base
- Strong desire to create residential furniture and styling designs to bring projects through completion.
- Strong leadership and mentorship skills with experience managing junior designers.
- Proven ability to generate business leads and convert them into successful projects.
- Deep understanding of construction processes, materials, and project timelines.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills with a strategic, career-driven growth mindset.
- Engaging, professional, and articulate communicator with excellent client-facing skills.
- Ability to thrive in a remote collaboration environment while maintaining strong on-site presence when needed.
