Summer Intern – Communications & HR Recruitment Support (Hybrid)
Alternatives, Inc., a nonprofit organization providing supports and services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, is seeking a Summer Intern to support our Human Resources and Communications teams. Our organization is located in Raritan, NJ.
This hybrid internship offers hands-on experience in recruitment marketing, digital content creation, and nonprofit communications while gaining exposure to HR operations and organizational messaging.
Key Responsibilities

Assist with creating and updating recruitment marketing materials for digital and print use

Support recruitment campaigns and messaging to attract qualified candidates

Create and edit short-form video content for recruitment and promotional use

Help redesign flyers, rack cards, and informational materials to align with branding

Organize and manage digital media assets (photos, video, graphics)

Research new communication tools, software, and AI platforms that support marketing and recruitment

Attend team meetings and assist with communications and HR-related projects as needed
Qualifications

Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Digital Media, Marketing, Graphic Design, Public Relations, Journalism, Film/Video Production, or a related field

Experience with design tools such as Canva or Adobe Creative Suite

Familiarity with video editing tools and social media content creation

Basic knowledge of WordPress or website content management systems preferred

Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills
Work Environment
