Responsibilities:
Position / Department Purpose:

The primary purpose of the Internship on the Energy Broking Desk is to provide hands-on exposure to the dynamic world of energy trading and broking. The intern will support the desk in daily operations, market analysis, and client servicing, gaining valuable insight into energy markets, financial instruments, and the regulatory environment within the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC). This role is designed to offer practical experience, foster professional growth, and develop key skills required for a future career in energy markets and financial services.

Job responsibilities but not limited to :-
  • Market Research and Analysis: Conduct research on global and regional energy markets, track price movements, and prepare daily market summaries for internal and client use.
  • Support Trade Execution: Assist brokers in preparing trade documentation, updating trade records, and ensuring accurate and timely processing of transactions.
  • Client Support: Help respond to client queries, prepare presentations, and provide relevant market data and reports as required.
  • Data Management: Maintain and update internal databases with current market data, trade information, and relevant industry news.
  • Administrative Assistance: Support the Energy Broking Desk with general administrative tasks such as scheduling meetings, organizing files, and preparing documentation.
  • Compliance and Regulatory Support: Assist in ensuring that all activities on the desk comply with DIFC regulations and company policies.
  • Learning and Development: Participate in training sessions, workshops, and team meetings to develop a deeper understanding of energy products, financial instruments, and the brokerage business.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with brokers, analysts, and other interns to support the overall objectives of the Energy Broking Desk
Qualifications:

StoneX Essential Qualifications

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and appropriately handle sensitive information with tact and discretion
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Effective interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach.
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational ability.
  • Analytical mindset and curiosity about data-driven marketing.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint).


Early Careers Requirements


  • Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree from an accredited university in a relevant program and graduating by 2027 (entering penultimate year of university)
  • Available to start in May / June 2026 on a 10 week program

  • In-office (minimum 4 days in the office)
