Intern - Procurement - UAEN

Job Purpose


The Procurement Intern will support the Procurement team in daily operational, administrative, and coordination activities. The role provides hands-on exposure to procurement processes, supplier coordination, documentation management, and market research while contributing to the efficient delivery of procurement operations and compliance with company procedures.


Roles, Responsibilities, Duties


  • Support the Procurement team in day-to-day operational and administrative activities.
  • Assist in preparing purchase requests, purchase orders, and procurement documentation.
  • Coordinate with vendors and internal stakeholders to follow up on quotations, deliveries, and documentation requirements.
  • Support supplier onboarding and maintain accurate vendor records and databases.
  • Conduct market research and benchmarking on suppliers, products, and pricing trends.
  • Assist in tracking procurement activities, delivery schedules, and order status updates.
  • Organize and maintain procurement files, contracts, and related documentation.
  • Support the preparation of reports, presentations, and procurement summaries.
  • Participate in meetings with suppliers and internal departments when required.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and approval processes.
  • Provide general administrative support to the Procurement team as needed.



Qualification


Bachelor’s degree student or recent graduate in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.


Experience and Competencies


Experience


  • Internship or academic exposure within operations, procurement, or supply chain is preferred.

  • Strong analytical and organisational skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Good communication and coordination skills
  • Ability to work with data and reports
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
