Pool Academy Training (PAT) is the international training and certification division of Pool Academy Aquatics, an aquatics coaching franchise founded in South Africa in 2011 with operations across South Africa, the UAE, India and the United Kingdom. PAT develops and certifies aquatics professionals through internationally recognised qualification pathways.

The Opportunity:

We are offering a structured 6-month Swimming Teacher Internship in Dubai for a motivated individual, who wants to build a professional career in aquatics education. This is a genuine training placement: you will learn under the supervision of qualified PAT instructors and gain hands-on, supervised teaching experience in a real swim-school environment.

This internship is designed as a development pathway, not a substitute for a permanent role.

It pays a monthly training stipend and is fixed at 6 months.

What you receive on successful completion:

• the PAT International Swimming Teacher Certificate; and
• the PAT International Sports Administrator Certificate.

Both certificates are awarded only on successful completion of the full programme, including all assessments and attendance requirements.

What You Will Do:

• Observe and assist qualified PAT instructors during swimming lessons for a range of ages and abilities.
• Progress, under supervision, to delivering lesson components and full lessons as your competence develops.
• Support pool-deck safety, equipment preparation and lesson set-up.
• Learn class administration, attendance tracking, scheduling and basic sports-administration tasks.
• Complete the PAT training modules, workbooks and practical assessments that form the certification pathway.

What We Are Looking For:

• A genuine interest in swimming instruction and a career in aquatics.
• Strong, confident, well-spoken, properly groomed and proficient swimming ability of all 4 swim strokes (previous competitive swimming knowledge is highly advantageous).
• Minimum age of 18 years.
• Excellent spoken English (Arabic or other languages an advantage).
• A friendly, patient and professional manner, especially when working with children.
• Reliability, punctuality and a willingness to learn.
• An up to date police clearance from Dubai Police.
• An up to date safeguarding certificate from a recognised body.

This internship does NOT include employer visa sponsorship. To be eligible you must:

• already hold your own valid UAE residence visa, sponsored by yourself or by a family member (for example a parent or spouse); and
• be able to obtain a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from your visa sponsor permitting you to undertake this internship; and
• be legally entitled to carry out this training placement in the UAE under your current visa status.

Applicants who require employer-sponsored visas cannot be considered for this placement.

Pay: AED1,500.00 per month
