Internal Auditor

RENECO's mission is to implement a global conservation strategy aiming to restore and preserve the Houbara bustard populations of North Africa (Chlamydotis undulata) and Asia (Chlamydotis macqueenii).

To achieve these goals, RENECO has developed a multidisciplinary approach within different centers in Morocco, Central Asia, and the Arabian Peninsula by combining fundamental and applied research.

To cope with the expansion of its activities and due to the development of new conservation projects, RENECO is opening new positions, giving a unique opportunity to be part of an ambitious conservation program.

You will join the Internal Audit & Quality Department at our HQ in Abu Dhabi under the supervision of the Internal Audit Manager.

Your main missions will be:

• Execute risk-based audits across departments and technical services.
• Conduct inspections of Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, and Mechanical systems.
• Review maintenance procedures, work orders, and contractor performance.
• Evaluate internal controls, compliance with contracts, safety, and regulatory standards.
• Participate in evaluating maintenance plans, preventive programs, and contractor performance.
• Ensure the reliability and integrity of reporting and safeguard organizational assets.
• Prepare clear, practical audit reports with actionable recommendations.
• Present audit results to stakeholders and follow up on corrective actions.
• Support the continuous development of audit programs and tools.
• Willingness to travel internationally (up to 60%).

Profile & Requirements

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Engineering, or related field.
• Certification/training in maintenance management, asset management, or engineering systems (HVAC, Electrical, Mechanical) required.

Experience:

• Minimum 3 years in internal auditing, ideally in industries with strong technical functions (oil & gas, construction, manufacturing, facilities management, or utilities).
• Proven experience auditing maintenance, engineering, or asset management processes.
• Exposure to operational, compliance, and financial audits.

Skills:

• Strong proficiency in MS Office Suite.
• Familiarity with BMS, CMMS, or similar maintenance/technical systems software is an advantage.
• Experience with audit management tools and data analytics software.
