The Internal Auditor provides independent assurance on the effectiveness of risk management, governance, and internal controls across FMCG operations. The role ensures compliance with company policies and regulations while recommending improvements to strengthen efficiency, transparency, and cost control.
Key Responsibilities
· Develop risk-based audit plans covering FMCG operations, supply chain, sales, and distribution.
· Conduct audits of financial records, inventory management, procurement, and logistics, HR, HSE and production.
· Identify risks in production, warehousing, and retail channels, and recommend corrective actions.
· Evaluate internal controls to prevent fraud, wastage, and inefficiencies.
· Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and IFRS standards.
· Prepare clear audit reports and present findings to senior management.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement corrective measures.
· Review contracts with suppliers, distributors, and third parties for compliance gaps.
· Recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
· Stay updated on FMCG best practices, industry trends, and emerging risks.
Qualifications
· ACCA or equivalent professional qualification.
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
· 7 - 10 years of internal audit experience
· Strong knowledge of supply chain, inventory, and sales processes.
· Excellent analytical, communication, and report-writing skills.
