Internal Auditor - F&B Sector

We are seeking a highly skilled and certified Internal Auditor with specialized expertise in F&B Industry. In this role, you will be responsible for Financial and Operational Audits, Internal Control and Risk Management, Compliance and Governance, Reporting and Follow-Up, Advisory and Continuous Improvement of department.

Must have F&B Experience

Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular financial and operational audits across all branches, central kitchen, and head office.
• Review accuracy of daily sales reports, POS data, cash receipts, discounts, voids, and refunds. Verify that all cash and card transactions are reconciled to bank deposits and accounting records.
• Audit accounts payable and supplier transactions to ensure proper documentation and approvals.
• Ensure proper accounting and documentation for inter-branch transactions.
• Review procurement processes and vendor selection to confirm compliance with company policies.
• Evaluate inventory management procedures, including raw material purchases, wastage, transfers, and cost of goods sold.
• Verify payroll records, staff attendance, and overtime calculations.
• Assess adequacy and effectiveness of existing internal control systems and recommend improvements.
• Develop and update risk-based internal audit plans covering key financial and operational areas.
• Review branch-level segregation of duties to mitigate risks of fraud, theft, or misappropriation.
• Ensure compliance with UAE VAT Law, Corporate Tax Law, and other regulatory requirements.
• Review statutory records, trade licenses, food safety permits, and other regulatory documents for validity.
• Prepare internal audit reports with findings, risk ratings, and actionable recommendations.
• Present audit results to management and discuss key control gaps and operational inefficiencies.
• Participate in due diligence reviews for new restaurant locations or expansions.
• Support management in preparing audit-related documentation for banks, investors, or regulatory bodies.

Qualifications, Skills, and Competencies

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• Professional certification preferred: CPA, CIA, or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant audit experience, preferably in F&B.
• Strong familiarity with restaurant operations, POS systems, and inventory management.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, accounting software, and POS data analysis tools.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, internal control frameworks, auditing standards, and UAE tax and regulatory environment
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple audit assignments.
• High level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED6,000.00 - AED8,000.00 per month
