The Opportunity

  • We are seeking a high-agency Internal Communications & Engagement Specialist who enjoys building systems, executing with discipline, and elevating the voices of a distributed workforce.
  • This role is execution-focused but high impact. You will own the coordination, development, and continuous improvement of GSI’s internal communication channels — ensuring our teams understand our strategy, feel connected to our mission, and see their contributions recognized.
  • This position offers meaningful visibility with senior leaders and clear growth potential for someone who demonstrates initiative, operational rigor, and measurable results.

Responsibilities

What You’ll Own


  • The Yard (GSI’s Intranet Platform)
  • Build and maintain content pages in SharePoint
  • Organize information for clarity and usability
  • Partner with departments to gather and publish content
  • Maintain content calendar and governance standards
  • Track usage and engagement metrics; recommend improvements

Success means The Yard becomes a trusted, easy-to-navigate source of truth.


  • Enterprise Town Halls (Quarterly Owner’s Calls)
  • Coordinate agendas and materials in partnership with leadership
  • Draft and refine internal messaging for clarity and alignment
  • Manage presentation flow and production logistics
  • Ensure follow-up communication and resource posting

Success means employees leave understanding company priorities and progress.


  • “From the Field” Storytelling
  • Source and structure weekly stories highlighting crews and superintendents
  • Reinforce safety, innovation, teamwork, and customer impact
  • Maintain consistent production rhythm
  • Increase field participation and visibility

  • Change Communication Support for Key Initiatives
  • Draft and coordinate messaging for new programs, rollouts, and updates
  • Ensure alignment across communication channels
  • Partner with People, Operations, and Safety leaders to communicate clearly and consistently

Success means important updates are timely, clear, and actionable.


  • Engagement Measurement & Continuous Improvement
  • Track engagement metrics (intranet analytics, event participation, content performance)
  • Provide quarterly summaries and insights
  • Identify opportunities to improve clarity and connection

Success means communications are informed by data, not guesswork.

Qualifications

What You Bring


We are looking for someone who combines creativity with operational rigor.


Required Experience

  • 3+ years in internal communications, employee engagement, or organizational communications
  • Bachelors Degree in Marketing, Communications, or related
  • Aptitude and desire for continuous improvement through technology
  • Experience supporting executive-level communication
  • Demonstrated ownership of enterprise communication platforms (SharePoint or equivalent)
  • Track record of measurable improvements in engagement, adoption, or communication effectiveness
  • Comfort leveraging AI and digital productivity tools to improve communication speed and effectiveness
  • Curiosity about emerging technology and a willingness to experiment responsibly
  • Strong judgment to ensure quality, accuracy, and confidentiality when using AI tools

Preferred Experience

  • Experience in construction, engineering, manufacturing, energy, logistics, or other distributed workforce environments
  • Experience working in high-growth or operationally complex organizations

This role will be in-office on a hybrid schedule. Employees will be expected to work in the
Westminster, CO office 3 days per week on Tuesday, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.

The expected base pay range for this position in the Colorado area is $80,000-$115,00. Salary ranges are dependent on a variety of factors, including qualifications, experience and geographic location. Range is not inclusive of potential bonus or benefits.
