Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Internal Medicine Physician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of adult medicine and demonstrate proficiency in diagnosing, treating, and managing a wide range of health conditions. Duties
- Conduct thorough physical examinations and patient assessments to establish diagnoses.
- Manage chronic and acute illnesses, ensuring effective treatment plans are in place.
- Utilize EHR systems for accurate documentation and patient record management.
- Collaborate with specialists in areas such as cardiology, endocrinology, and gastroenterology for comprehensive patient care.
- Perform procedures such as suturing, IV infusion, and airway management as necessary.
- Provide health coaching and education to patients regarding lifestyle modifications and disease prevention.
- Participate in clinical research and contribute to the advancement of medical knowledge.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of patient information.
- Engage in discharge planning and coordinate post-acute care for patients transitioning from hospital to home or other care settings.
Requirements
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
- Board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine.
- Experience with EHR systems; familiarity with Epic is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Proficiency in managing diverse patient populations including those requiring critical care, geriatrics, pediatrics, and more.
- Excellent communication skills for effective patient interaction and collaboration with healthcare teams.
- Ability to perform various medical procedures including but not limited to cardiac catheterization, vascular interventional radiography, and dermatological treatments.
