The Role
The International Controller – EMEA & APAC will be responsible for overseeing financial operations, reporting, compliance, and controls across the EMEA and APAC regions. This role ensures accurate financial reporting under IFRS/US GAAP, effective regional controls, tax compliance, and timely month-end and year-end closures, while partnering closely with regional stakeholders and global finance leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting
  • Lead and manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close for EMEA & APAC geographies
  • Ensure timely, accurate, and compliant financial reporting in line with IFRS and/or Local GAAP.
  • Review journal entries, accruals, provisions, and reconciliations for regional entities.
  • Prepare consolidated regional financial reports and management packs.
Regional Oversight & Controls
  • Establish, maintain, and enhance financial controls and standard operating procedures across regions.
  • Ensure consistency in accounting treatment, policies, and documentation across EMEA & APAC.
  • Perform pre-audit reviews and support internal and external audits.
  • Maintain audit-ready documentation and working papers.
Tax & Statutory Compliance
  • Oversee regional tax compliance, including withholding taxes, VAT/GST, and statutory filings in coordination with local advisors.
  • Ensure timely filing and payments in accordance with local regulatory requirements.
  • Support transfer pricing documentation and intercompany reconciliations.
Budgeting, Forecasting & Analysis
  • Support annual budgeting and rolling forecast processes for EMEA & APAC.
  • Analyze financial performance, variances, and trends; provide actionable insights to management.
  • Assist leadership in strategic planning through financial modeling and scenario analysis.
Systems & Process Management
  • Oversee accounting operations within ERP systems (QuickBooks, Oracle, SAP, or similar).
  • Ensure accurate mapping of transactions to appropriate account heads.
  • Drive process improvements, automation, and efficiency initiatives across regional finance operations.
Stakeholder & Cross-functional Collaboration
  • Partner with regional business leaders, operations, HR, and procurement teams.
  • Act as a key finance point of contact for EMEA & APAC stakeholders.
  • Support procurement processes, review purchase orders, and ensure budget adherence.
Governance & Risk Management
  • Identify and mitigate financial and operational risks within the regions.
  • Monitor KPIs and financial metrics to ensure financial discipline and performance.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, information security standards, and regulatory requirements.
What We Are Looking For
Qualifications & Experience
  • CA (Inter / Finalist) / ACCA (Qualified) or equivalent professional qualification.
  • 5–7 years of progressive experience in finance, accounting, or controllership roles.
  • Prior experience managing multi-entity or multi-country finance operations is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with audit firms or multinational organizations is a plus.
Functional Skills & Knowledge
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP (mandatory).
  • Hands-on experience with ERP/accounting systems such as QuickBooks, Oracle, or SAP.
  • Solid understanding of international taxation, statutory compliance, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and MS Office.

Compensation & Benefits:
