International Key Account Manager Lead GTR

The role is accountable for building and maintaining strong partnerships with the assigned International Key Account (IKA) customer. It entails defining and executing the global strategic framework and top-line account plan in full alignment with the Global Travel Retail (GTR) vision and mission. Core responsibilities include the negotiation and deployment of global commercial agreements, ensuring consistent execution across regions, and tracking performance against established KPIs. The assigned account operates across 50+ markets worldwide, each characterized by distinct portfolio assortments, pricing structures, and local market dynamics — requiring a comprehensive global perspective and the ability to balance strategic consistency with market-specific agility.

The position also encompasses direct team leadership, fostering collaboration, performance excellence, and effective delivery across all operational markets.

Position:

The International Key Account Manager GTR will be responsible for:

  • Develop strong engagement and business relationships with the assigned International Key Account (IKA) through mutually beneficial initiatives in order to become the preferred category partner
  • Formulate the global strategy and the account plan for the assigned IKA – including pricing, strategic investment guidelines, portfolio, space allocation for JTI at POS, and activation & promotion calendar – to guide the Sales regions and ensure a coordinated approach to IKA management
  • Communicate a briefing to the Sales Team containing volumes and SOM aspirations and latest assumptions about pricing, marketing programs, and marketing allowance for Hubs to include in their LE’s, TDT, and ASP submissions to achieve GTR volumes and OCC targets
  • Develop and maintain customized dashboards and decision-making tools in order to ensure two-way information exchange between the IKA Team and the Sales Team and facilitate fact-based investment prioritization and business decision-making processes
  • Raise internal awareness of the assigned IKA importance for GTR business to ensure regional and central functions correctly prioritize resources and focus on KA’s locations

Requirements:

  • University degree or equivalent qualification

  • 5–7 years of experience in Key Account Management, Sales & Distribution, Channel Management, or Field Trade Marketing

  • Demonstrated expertise in Consumer and Trade Promotions Management

  • Proficient in Brand Portfolio Management, Pricing Strategy, and P&L Management

  • Experience in Travel Retail is a plus

  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally and collaborate across multiple business units

  • Fluent in English (both written and spoken)

  • Proficient computer skills, including MS Office and relevant business software

  • Strong financial literacy and analytical ability

  • Demonstrates exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, proficient in establishing and sustaining meaningful, impactful relationships.

  • Strong negotiation, influencing, and decision-making abilities

  • Demonstrated skills in people management, coaching, and team development

  • Solid experience in process and project management

  • Proven proficiency in delivering remarkable customer service, conducting detailed trade research, and performing comprehensive market analysis

  • Expertise in merchandising, distribution, category management, and trade term management

  • Strong business insights and the ability to think strategically and implement effectively

  • Key strengths include a results-driven mindset, strong analytical skills, and a global perspective to manage complex business challenges and deliver sustainable growth
