The Project Logistics Specialist plays a critical role in overseeing and assisting with new equipment projects. This position is primarily focused on ensuring the timely delivery of equipment while collaborating closely with the Project Manager and key stakeholders. The specialist will facilitate communication and coordination among various teams to guarantee that customers receive all goods promptly and efficiently.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Work directly with Project managers, Warehouse Personnel, procurement, and end customer for accurate delivery planning
  • Perform organizing, shipping and delivering goods globally in smooth, timely and cost-effective manner
  • Generate and execute Project Logistics Shipping Plans to ensure customer satisfaction and adequate execution of transport of goods.
  • Prepare all required shipping documents for international and domestic shipments.
  • Coordinate transportation arrangements using Transportation Management System (TMS)
  • Coordinate with shipping forwarders to obtain and update the shipment information.
  • Work directly with Compliance to ensure safety, security, regulatory, and company policies.
  • Work directly with project managers to manage the financial project logistics results of the budget vs. actual cost of projects in pipeline.
  • Perform all Accounts Payable functions for logistics payment process including coding, posting, and approving freight invoices for payment via Microsoft Dynamics AX6,
  • Reconciling freight vendors account, communicating with freight vendors on payment status or invoice issues, investigate and resolve all freight payment/billing issues.
  • Perform other tasks within International Deployment and Logistics task, as and when needed.

Your profile and qualifications:

Education and Experience

High school diploma or equivalent.

5 plus years of external international logistics experience with knowledge of Large project execution

The typical base pay range for this position at the start of employment is expected to be between $75K - 85K per year. GEA Group has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States.
