Salary Range:
$165,000 - $310,000+ (Commensurate with location and portable book)
About the Role:
We are seeking a sophisticated and entrepreneurial International Trade Partner to join a nationally recognized legal team. This is a unique opportunity for a driven professional to play a pivotal role in advising global clients on the complexities of international trade, investment, and regulatory compliance. Key Responsibilities:

Foreign Investment:
Advise clients on regulatory requirements for U.S. investment and shepherd foreign investors through the CFIUS review process.

Import and Customs:
Guide U.S. and foreign clients on compliance with U.S. Customs and other regulatory requirements for importing goods.

Trade Remedies:
Navigate trade preference programs (USMCA, CAFTA, etc.) and apply trade remedies, including AD/CVD and Section 301.

Export and Sanctions:
Provide expert counsel on EAR, ITAR, and OFAC-administered sanctions.

Regulatory Defense:
Represent clients before federal regulators regarding investigations, protests, voluntary disclosures, and settlements.

Litigation:
Utilize trade litigation experience (a significant plus) to defend client interests in contested matters.
Qualifications:

Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Active bar admission in the relevant jurisdiction (IL, OH, PA, DC, or FL).

Extensive experience in international trade law with a focus on regulatory strategy.

Strong entrepreneurial mindset with a modest portable book of business.
