UOWD has a dedicated Careers and Alumni Relations Office that works with the support of the University to extend the opportunities for current student and graduates to engage with university life. The office promotes communication with and amongst alumni and supports the creation of networks and leadership groups to advance the interests of the UOWD student and graduate community.
We are seeking a proactive and student-focused Internship Coordinator to join our Careers and Alumni team. This role plays a critical part in enhancing student employability by coordinating meaningful internship placements with industry partners and ensuring a seamless experience for students, faculty, and employers.

Roles and Responsibilities
As Internship Coordinator, you will:
Coordinate and manage the end-to-end internship placement process, ensuring alignment with academic requirements and timelines
Act as the primary point of contact for employers, responding to queries and supporting positive partner relationships
Support students in understanding internship requirements, documentation, and process expectations
Liaise with academic schools to promote internship opportunities and ensure consistent communication across programs
Conduct structured follow-ups with employers to confirm placements, monitor progress, and capture internship outcomes
Track, evaluate, and report on internship data to support KPIs and Ministry of Education reporting
Plan and support internship-related workshops and career events to enhance student readiness
Maintain accurate records and update the Careers System with internship documentation, status updates, and outcomes
Working Environment
This role operates in a dynamic, student-focused environment and may require flexibility during peak internship periods, including occasional evening or weekend events. Some travel within the UAE may be required to engage with industry partners and attend events.
Eligibility Requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Higher Education, Business Administration, or a related discipline
Experience:
Minimum 3 years' experience in career services, internship coordination, student employability, recruitment support, or a related field
Experience working in higher education or industry-facing roles (highly desirable)
Proven experience coordinating structured internship or placement programs
Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong professional relationships with external partners
Skills and Attributes:
Excellent organisational and project management skills
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders
Confidence in data management, tracking, and reporting
A collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively within a team
A genuine interest in mentoring and supporting students in their career development
