Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Board Certified Interventional Pain Management Physician to diagnose, manage, and treat patients suffering from chronic and acute pain using advanced interventional techniques. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Anesthesiology, or Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R), with fellowship training in pain management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive evaluations of patients with chronic pain conditions.
  • Develop individualized pain management plans, including both interventional and non-interventional treatments.
  • Conduct image-guided procedures such as:
  • Epidural steroid injections
  • Nerve blocks
  • Radiofrequency ablation
  • Spinal cord stimulator trials and implants
  • Peripheral nerve stimulator trials and implants
  • Facet joint injections
  • SI joint injections
  • Vertebral augmentation (kyphoplasty/vertebroplasty), if applicable
  • Prescribe appropriate medications when necessary, adhering to state and federal regulations.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including physical therapists, psychologists, surgeons, and primary care providers.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation using EMR systems.
  • Experience with ECW EMR preferred
  • Participate in quality assurance, peer review, and continuing education activities.
  • Educate patients and families about pain conditions, treatment plans, and outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and other regulatory guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.
  • Board certified or board eligible in Pain Medicine.
  • Fellowship-trained in Interventional Pain Management (ABPM, ABA, ABPN, or ABPMR pathways).
  • Unrestricted medical license to practice in Texas.
  • DEA license with Schedule II-V authority.
  • Proficient in performing a wide range of interventional pain procedures.
  • Strong communication, diagnostic, and clinical decision-making skills.
  • Commitment to compassionate patient care and ethical practice.

Preferred Experience:

  • 2+ years practicing in an interventional pain management setting (post-fellowship).
  • Experience with EMR systems (Eclinicalworks).
  • Familiarity with outpatient clinic workflows and ambulatory surgery centers (ASCs).

Work Environment:

  • Outpatient clinic and procedures in ASC setting.
  • Monday–Friday schedule.
  • May involve occasional travel between clinic locations.
