Inventory Analyst

Hajoca has over 400 locations nationwide, called Profit Centers; and at the foundation of our family of businesses is a National Support Center (NSC) where Centers of Excellence are dedicated to enabling the success of our Profit Centers.

The Accounting team in our National Support Center (NSC) is looking for an Inventory Analyst at their Lafayette Hill, PA office. This is a hybrid role, requiring Tuesday-Thursday in office.

Pay for this position is between $63,000.00 and $68,000.00 per year at this location.

About the Role:You will:
  • Reconcile inventory GL after physical counts are completed and coordinate with Accounting so results are managed appropriately.
  • Observe physical inventory in Profit Centers monthly (requires 10-20% overnight weekend work and travel) and as needed during acquisitions.
  • Ensure company assets are safeguarded, communicate variances to management, recommend improvements, and participate in the development of training materials for Profit Center teams.
  • Troubleshoot variances to determine root causes. Coordinate communications regarding significant variances to Profit Center Managers. Occasionally travel to Profit Centers to observe Profit Center processes that impact financial variances.
  • Develop and demonstrate an understanding of Profit Center processes, company policies, and accounting concepts.
  • Train teammates and Profit Center Managers, and address inventory concerns.
  • Schedule inventories, coordinate observations with Region Managers, and coordinate supplies for Profit Centers. Lead inventory observation teams in following standard procedures.
  • Update and maintain process documentation, filing, and other backup in paper and/or electronic format as needed. Research inventory management techniques and suggest improvements and updates to company processes.
  • Participate in year-end companywide inventory reconciliations and general ledger reconciliations.
  • Successfully complete required safety and compliance training programs as assigned.
  • Evaluate inventory and provide inventory related administration and instructional support to our Profit Centers.
  • Perform various inventory analyses to provide increased key performance indicators and visibility to the field and to finance teams.
  • Perform other reasonably related duties as assigned by immediate supervisor and other management as required.
About You:
  • 2 or more years of experience in accounting, audit, or related work experience.
  • Able to drive for company business. As a company business driver, you must:
  • Be at least 18 years old.
  • Possess a proper and valid driver’s license.
  • Have a driving record that meets the criteria for being an Authorized Driver in accordance with company policy.
Our ideal candidate will also:
  • Effectively use Microsoft Office software to communicate via email and to review reports and documents. Have advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
  • Have knowledge of the plumbing wholesale industry or prior work experience in a Profit Center
  • Demonstrate outstanding customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Possess leadership qualities and be viewed as a leader.
  • Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Have knowledge of basic accounting principles
  • Possess a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Be able to build and maintain a positive working relationship with co-workers.
  • Be able to research, analyze data, and solve problems.
  • Have excellent organizational skills and be able to prioritize work projects and multi-task.
  • Read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
