The Inventory Analyst – Analysis is responsible for investigating and resolving inventory discrepancies, identifying root causes, and implementing corrective actions to maintain accuracy and integrity in material transactions. This role monitors inventory levels, analyzes material movements both within the site and to external sources, and provides solutions to support production and warehouse operations. Additionally, the analyst will serve as a backup to the Server and Rack Inventory Analysts, ensuring seamless coverage during PTO or absences.
Shift: Wednesday–Saturday, 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM
Review and follow up on cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
Investigate and analyze discrepancies, providing clear root cause findings and corrective actions.
Monitor and maintain interim postings in SAP.
Identify, analyze, and resolve COGI (Controlling Goods Issue) errors.
Authorize adjustments to inventory discrepancies when required.
Provide solutions and recommendations to Workcells to correct or prevent issues.
Analyze performance metrics, including downtime, inventory adjustments, rework lists, backflush integrity, material returns, and line inventory.
Support financial accuracy by following up on reports such as backflush variations and consumption.
Review material flow and RMA (Return Material Authorization) processes for accuracy and efficiency.
Generate and maintain reports to track discrepancies, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Serve as a backup for Server and Rack Inventory Analysts, fully performing their job functions as needed.
Collaborate across production, supply chain, and warehouse teams to drive process improvements.
Knowledge Requirements
Ability to define problems, collect and analyze data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, and teams.
Proficiency in operating personal computers, including Windows-based operating systems and related software.
Advanced computer skills with strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas, data analysis).
Prior hands-on experience with SAP or other ERP systems required.
Ability to read and comprehend written instructions, correspondence, and reports.
Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret graphs.
Experience Requirements
Minimum of 3 years of inventory management experience , preferably in a production or manufacturing environment .
Experience in monitoring and resolving inventory transactions within ERP systems.
Background in identifying and implementing corrective actions for process improvement.
