Key Responsibilities:A. Procurement Management
- Manage end-to-end procurement process for all materials, tools, equipment, and services required for telecom operations (e.g., fiber cables, network devices, routers, civil materials, etc.).
- Identify and evaluate suppliers, negotiate terms, and ensure quality, delivery timelines, and cost efficiency.
- Prepare and issue purchase orders (POs), requests for quotations (RFQs), and comparative analysis reports.
- Maintain an approved vendor list and establish long-term supplier relationships.
- Ensure all procurement transactions comply with company policies and ISO or internal audit requirements.
- Monitor market trends and identify opportunities for cost savings or alternative sourcing.
- Coordinate with project, finance, and logistics teams to align procurement with project schedules and budgets.
B. Inventory & Warehouse Control
- Maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing inventory in coordination with warehouse staff.
- Implement inventory tracking systems (manual or software-based) to monitor stock levels, reorder points, and material consumption.
- Conduct periodic physical stock counts and reconcile with system data.
- Ensure proper storage, labeling, and handling of telecom materials to prevent loss or damage.
- Monitor material issuance for projects and ensure timely replenishment based on demand forecasts.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly inventory reports for management review.
C. Coordination & Documentation
- Collaborate with technical and project teams to forecast material requirements for ongoing and upcoming telecom projects.
- Track shipments and coordinate logistics for local and international purchases.
- Maintain complete procurement documentation including POs, quotations, invoices, delivery notes, and stock cards.
- Support internal and external audits related to procurement and inventory.
D. Cost Control & Efficiency
- Monitor procurement expenditures and provide cost analysis reports.
- Identify slow-moving or obsolete inventory and coordinate disposal or reallocation.
- Support budgeting and forecasting by providing accurate material cost data.
E. Compliance & Safety
- Ensure adherence to local regulations, customs, and import/export requirements.
- Follow safety standards in handling and storing telecom materials and hazardous components.
3. Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in procurement and inventory roles, preferably in the telecommunications or construction sector.
- Knowledge of telecom materials and equipment (e.g., ODFs, ducts, fiber cables, network devices).
- Strong negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP or inventory management systems.
- Strong organizational and reporting skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure with tight project timelines.
4. Performance Indicators (KPIs):
- Accuracy of inventory records (variance below 2%).
- On-time procurement completion rate.
- Cost savings achieved through negotiation or sourcing.
- Supplier performance and delivery reliability.
- Audit compliance score.
