Job Profile
The Inventory Assistant is responsible for supporting daily inventory and warehouse operations to ensure accurate stock records, proper storage, and timely documentation of goods. The role plays a key part in maintaining inventory accuracy, minimizing stock discrepancies, and ensuring smooth coordination between warehouse, procurement, and sales teams to meet operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor daily stock levels of food items, packaging materials, and supplies.
- Conduct regular physical stock counts and cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Reconcile physical stock with system records and report any discrepancies to the supervisor.
- Update inventory data accurately in the ERP/system on a timely basis.
- Maintain proper documentation for goods received, issued, returned, or transferred.
- Verify incoming shipments against purchase orders, delivery notes, and invoices.
- Inspect received goods for quantity, quality, expiry date, and damages.
- Ensure proper labeling, batch coding, and organized storage of food items.
- Follow FIFO/FEFO procedures to manage stock rotation and minimize wastage.
- Assist in picking, packing, and preparing materials for dispatch as per requirements.
- Coordinate with procurement and warehouse teams regarding stock shortages or excess stock.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in storage areas as per food safety regulations.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, HACCP, and safety guidelines.
- Support periodic audits and assist in improving inventory control processes for better efficiency.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of UAE experience in inventory control or warehouse operations, preferably in a food trading or distribution company.
- Basic knowledge of food commodities, stock handling, and storage practices.
- Understanding of inventory documentation such as GRN, delivery notes, stock transfer forms, and stock reports.
- Familiarity with FIFO/FEFO principles and expiry management
- Good coordination and communication skills to work with warehouse, procurement, QHSE and sales teams.
- Basic to intermediate proficiency in MS Excel and ERP inventory modules.
- Attention to detail, accuracy in data entry, and ability to work under pressure.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
Job Type: Permanent
Pay: Up to AED3,000.00 per month
