Inventory Control Analyst

Overview
The Inventory Control Analyst is responsible for accurately accounting for all inventory transactions relating to components, raw materials, and manufactured products. This role maintains inventory accuracy through data analysis, reporting, and reconciliation while ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. The position also supports month-end closing processes and variance reporting to maintain operational efficiency.

Duties

  • Track inventory movement and accuracy using the company’s inventory database and ERP system.
  • Maintain accurate records of material expiration dates and inventory status.
  • Prepare, analyze, and maintain work order variance reports in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Process Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) accurately and maintain records in the system.
  • Perform inventory adjustments as needed and ensure system accuracy.
  • Run and analyze Crystal Reports to support inventory accuracy and reporting needs.
  • Assist with month-end closing processes, including reconciliations and inventory reporting.
  • Ensure proper accountability on work orders involving drug items or regulated raw materials (OTC materials).
  • Communicate with operations, purchasing, and accounting teams to resolve discrepancies and support process improvements.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Ability to interpret and analyze inventory data and generate accurate reports.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems and database navigation (Sage preferred).

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field required.
  • Minimum of one (3) year of experience in inventory control or related field required.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment preferred.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions

  • Ability to lift and pull up to 50 pounds using proper lifting techniques.
  • Requires walking, standing, and sitting for extended periods.
  • Requires bending, pulling, pushing, and reaching above shoulder or below waist levels.
  • Certain areas require the use of safety equipment (e.g., safety glasses in production areas).
  • This position operates in both office and warehouse environments. The Inventory Control Analyst may be exposed to varying temperatures, dust, and manufacturing noise. Proper safety equipment must be worn when entering production or warehouse areas.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
