Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Design and perform reviews/tests of the Company’s system of internal controls and performance measures as it relates to inventory and other procedures.

Develop recommendations to improve efficiencies and overall internal control in the inventory area.

Monitor/test compliance with key controls identified in the Company’s Internal Control documentation for inventory and other store procedures.

Initial store level focus on physical inventory variances, in transit discrepancies, direct store delivery purchases, outside parts purchases, cycle count adjustments and other Sarbox procedures.

Coordinate testing with external auditors.

Prepare periodic reports on activities, findings and recommendations for operational and financial management.

Generate substantive recommendations and observations for management review and follow-up.

Other duties, as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
-
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
-
Two-year degree in accounting or finance required.
-
6 months or more of related experience/training in internal audit/accounting preferred.
- Ability to use Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
Ability to read, write and comprehend simple instructions, correspondence and memos.
Ability to effectively present information one on one and in small group situations.
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out written and oral instructions.
Motivated professional with strong analytical skills who performs with a high degree of accuracy and is attentive to detail. Good organizational, interpersonal and communication skills required.
