Inventory Control Manager

We are seeking an experienced Inventory Manager to oversee inventory operations across manufacturing and warehouse environments. This role is responsible for ensuring inventory accuracy, maintaining compliance with internal policies, and driving continuous improvement in inventory processes. The position will lead the inventory control function while partnering cross-functionally to optimize inventory flow, reporting, and overall utilization.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee inventory accuracy across manufacturing and warehouse operations
  • Lead and develop the Inventory Control team, including hiring, training, and ongoing performance management
  • Implement and manage cycle count programs and coordinate annual physical inventories in alignment with audit requirements
  • Prepare and present regular reports on inventory performance, accuracy, and trends to leadership
  • Develop and improve processes to enhance inventory flow and accuracy from receipt through production and shipment
  • Support inventory forecasting and collaborate with internal teams to execute inventory plans
  • Review, reconcile, and approve inventory adjustments, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and proper documentation
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to improve inventory management practices and resolve discrepancies
  • Evaluate inventory levels to improve turnover, utilization, and management of excess or obsolete stock
  • Ensure ERP system data is accurate and maintained, including SKU and inventory record integrity
  • Investigate inventory discrepancies, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions
  • Train warehouse and operations staff on inventory procedures and best practices
  • Monitor compliance with inventory policies, including FIFO, lot tracking, and proper material disposition
  • Coordinate with quality teams to segregate and manage non-conforming inventory
  • Manage month-end inventory reconciliation and analysis, including inventory at external locations
  • Support special projects and additional tasks as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in inventory management, including cycle counting and manufacturing environments
  • Experience managing large-scale inventory operations across multiple locations preferred
  • A degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, or equivalent experience
  • Strong understanding of ERP and warehouse management systems, including scanning technology
  • Ability to analyze inventory transactions and resolve discrepancies effectively
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Proven leadership experience with direct reports, including coaching and team development

Pay: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
