Inventory Control Specialist

Objective

We are looking for a detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys keeping operations organized and efficient. The position will assist the Stockroom Supervisor in maintaining accurate inventory levels. The role will perform an array of functions that include verifying counts of stock, delivering them to production lines, receiving parts in appropriate locations, and replenishing inventory as needed.


Essential Functions include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Monitor inventory levels to ensure that raw materials, components, and finished products are available to meet production schedules
  • Pick and issue parts per job order requirements using RF scanner, accurate labeling and delivering parts to the appropriate production lines
  • Prepare pallet for production lines and/or putting away in slotted inventory locations and packing products coming in from production and/or receiving
  • Conduct regular inventory audits for accuracy of quantity and ensure the accuracy of records in the inventory management system
  • Maintain accurate records of all inventory transactions, stock locations and help sustain inventory control
  • May also be trained in helping unload trucks, containers, stacking and counting products on pallets
  • Collaborate with the production and warehouse teams to coordinate stock movements, consolidation, and replenishing inventory to avoid material shortages
  • Ensure company policies and safety regulations by maintaining a clean work environment
  • Assist with continuous improvement initiatives related to inventory control processes and may assist in cycle counting of physical inventory
  • Other duties as required

Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.


Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. The hours of work are expected to coincide with the Company’s production hours, Monday-Friday 7am – 3:30pm.


Required Education and Experience to perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.

  • High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate or bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in inventory control, order fulfillment, or supply chain management, preferably in a manufacturing or electronics environment
  • 1+ years of forklift and pallet jack experience required, certification preferred
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams
  • Strong knowledge of inventory management systems and software (ERP experience preferred)
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, intermediate excel experience preferred
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong time management and problem-solving skills

This role is performed in a typical Production environment and with no unusual physical demands. Predominantly sitting, some pushing, pulling, stooping, kneeling, typing, crouching, and lifting. Requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and use sage lifting techniques. Ability to climb and work on a ladder.
