<Responsibilities>
- Monitor and manage inventory levels using warehouse management systems (WMS) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) tools such as SAP, Oracle, or AS400.
- Conduct detailed data mining and analysis to identify discrepancies, root causes of inventory variances, and opportunities for process improvement.
- Collaborate with procurement teams to support sourcing strategies, negotiate with suppliers, and optimize purchasing decisions based on demand planning insights.
- Perform regular stock audits, cycle counts, and physical inventories to maintain high accuracy standards.
- Utilize data visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau to generate reports on inventory trends, supply chain analytics, and stocking performance for leadership review.
- Coordinate with logistics providers and 3PL partners to streamline shipping & receiving processes, order fulfillment, and materials handling.
- Support category management initiatives by analyzing sales data from Nielsen or retail management systems to optimize product placement and merchandising strategies.
- Assist in process improvement projects related to materials management, production planning, and warehouse operations to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Operate forklifts and other materials handling equipment safely while adhering to safety protocols during heavy lifting tasks.
<Experience>
- Proven experience in inventory control within a warehouse distribution or supply chain environment.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP platforms (such as SAP or AS400), and data analytics tools like Power BI or Tableau.
- Demonstrated ability in supply chain management, demand planning, procurement, and logistics coordination.
- Skilled in data collection, analysis skills, root cause analysis, and financial modeling related to inventory management.
- Familiarity with sourcing strategies, contract management, pricing negotiations, and supplier relationship management.
- Experience with materials handling equipment operation including forklift certification is preferred.
- Excellent analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets using SQL or similar database query languages.
