1. Purpose of the Role
To ensure accurate inventory management, optimize stock levels, and maintain efficient supply chain operations across warehouses and distribution channels. The Inventory Controller safeguards product availability while minimizing overstock, expiry risks, and stock discrepancies.
2. Key ResponsibilitiesA. Inventory Management
- Maintain accurate stock levels in the ERP system (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics BC).
- Monitor inbound and outbound stock movement (receipts, transfers, adjustments, deliveries).
- Reconcile physical stock counts with system data.
- Identify and report discrepancies, damaged goods, or expired items.
- Ensure batch, lot number, and expiry date tracking for all medical products.
B. Warehouse Coordination
- Supervise daily warehouse operations related to receiving, put-away, and dispatch.
- Verify that all materials are properly labeled, stored, and segregated (by category, supplier, or temperature conditions).
- Support the warehouse team in maintaining FIFO/FEFO compliance.
- Coordinate periodic and annual physical inventory counts.
C. ERP & Documentation
- Manage and update all stock transactions through Dynamics BC or equivalent ERP.
- Generate and validate inventory reports (e.g., stock valuation, aging, movement).
- Ensure delivery note numbers, GRN, and batch details are consistently recorded.
- Maintain documentation for audits, supplier reconciliation, and compliance.
D. Forecasting & Replenishment
- Collaborate with the procurement and sales teams to forecast demand and plan reorders.
- Track minimum and maximum stock levels per SKU.
- Highlight slow-moving or non-moving items and recommend actions (discounts, returns, etc.).
- Assist in preparing procurement requests based on lead times and sales trends.
E. Compliance & Quality
- Ensure inventory control practices comply with MOH/UAE regulations and company SOPs.
- Monitor temperature and storage conditions, especially for sensitive medical items.
- Support internal and external audits with complete documentation and traceability.
3. Key Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in inventory or logistics management (preferably medical or pharma).
- Strong ERP knowledge (Microsoft Dynamics BC, Oracle, or Zoho).
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and coordination abilities.
