Inventory Controller

Job Title: Inventory Controller – Marine (Spare Parts & Stores)

We are seeking an experienced Inventory Controller with strong knowledge of marine spare parts, vessel maintenance materials, and procurement processes. The role involves managing inventory for fleet operations, ensuring availability of critical spares, and maintaining accurate stock control across vessels and warehouse facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage inventory of marine spare parts, engine components, tools, and consumables across vessels and shore stores
• Maintain optimal stock levels to avoid shortages or overstock situations
• Coordinate with Technical Superintendents, Chief Engineers, and Procurement team for requisitions and planning
• Handle inventory tracking through PMS / ERP systems with accurate records and traceability
• Monitor consumption patterns and forecast future spare parts requirements
• Ensure proper documentation for all receipts, issues, and returns
• Conduct periodic stock audits onboard vessels and warehouses
• Coordinate logistics, deliveries, and customs clearance with suppliers
• Support procurement in price comparison, vendor evaluation, and purchase planning
• Identify slow-moving and obsolete stock and recommend disposal or optimization
• Maintain compliance with company procedures and maritime inventory standards

Requirements:

• Minimum 3+ years experience in marine inventory / ship spare parts / procurement
• Strong knowledge of marine engines, vessel spare parts, and technical stores
• Experience working with ships / vessels / offshore or shipping companies is mandatory
• Familiarity with inventory systems (PMS / ERP)
• Good knowledge of procurement and supply chain process
• Strong MS Excel and data management skills
• UAE Driving License is mandatory
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple vessels

Preferred Experience:

• Background in marine technical stores / ship chandlery / shipping logistics
• Experience working with Chief Engineers or Technical Departments
• Knowledge of import/export and shipping documentation

Salary Package:

AED 3,500 – 5,000 (based on experience)

Important Note:

Candidates must have marine industry experience, specifically in vessel spare parts, engine components, and technical inventory management. General warehouse or retail inventory experience will not be considered.

Pay: AED3,500.00 - AED5,000.00 per month
