Inventory Controller cum Receiver

Job Overview

Full Cart Supermarket is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Inventory Controller cum Receiver to manage stock handling, goods receiving, and basic accounting functions at the store level. The role involves maintaining accurate inventory records, verifying deliveries, and supporting daily cash handling activities.

Inventory & Stock Management

• Maintain accurate inventory records and stock entries in the system
• Monitor stock levels and report shortages or discrepancies
• Ensure proper stock rotation (FIFO) and minimize wastage
• Conduct regular stock counts and audits
• Receive goods from suppliers and verify quantity, quality, and invoices
• Ensure all received items are properly recorded and stored
• Coordinate with suppliers for any damages or shortages
• Assist in daily cash receiving and handling
• Support cash closing and reconciliation with POS reports
• Maintain records of sales, purchases, and expenses
• Prepare and manage invoices, receipts, and vouchers
• Assist in basic accounting and documentation similar to a shop accountant
• Prepare daily inventory and operational reports
• Maintain proper filing and documentation of all records
• Support management with audit and reporting requirements

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree / Diploma in Commerce or related field preferred
• Minimum 1–2 years experience in inventory, warehouse, or retail store operations
• Basic knowledge of accounting and stock management
• Familiarity with MS Excel and POS systems
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced supermarket environment
• Ability to communicate in English and Malayalam
• Male candidates prefer.
