Inventory Controller - FMCG - Tamil

The company provides free shared bachelor accommodation and transportation.

Must have at least 6 years of Inventory Controlling experience with perishable products and cold storage.

The candidate should have good experience and knowledge of Inventory Turnover Rate, Dead Stock / Spoilage Percentage, Inventory Accuracy, Inventory Shrinkage, Return Rate, Warehouse size, and manpower efficiency.

Must have experience working with inventory or warehouse management software.

Job Purpose:

• To receive, quality check, store and distribute stocks in a systematic manner.
• To report management in case of discrepancies and stock issues.

Primary duties and responsibilities:

The ideal candidate had good experience in warehouse management from receiving the new goods and goods returned to barcoding each item and to issuance of goods.

• Receiving Stock – Unloading the shipment, count boxes and items as per requirement and ensure each box are barcoded.
• Ensure shipments’ and inventory transactions’ accuracy
• Reporting discrepancies between physical counts and actual requirement.
• Work with management if products are missing or damaged within a shipment
• Quality Control – Ensure the quality and quantity of each item and are barcoded and moved in the cold storage rooms.
• Storing Inventory – Ensure that the stocks are stored for easy identification and quick issuance and are rotated on First come first basis and freshness basis.
• Planning and maintaining inventory storage space in the Cold Rooms.
• Communicating with the superior about any inventory issues
• Active participation in inventory audit
• Issuing Stock – Issue barcoded stocks to Salesman on daily basis.
• Update daily stock issued and received to reconcile inventory
• Receiving Damages – Receive and enter damaged products in the system and plan for disposal.
• Training Staffs – Training cold room staffs and inventory assistants in Quality Controlling Checks, Storing, Issuing and Managing returns and dead stock.
• Plan work rotas, assign tasks appropriately and appraise results
• General - Maintain items record, document necessary information and utilize reports to project warehouse status
• Adhere to all warehousing, handling and shipping legislation requirements
• Produce reports and statistics regularly (IN/OUT status report, dead stock report etc)
• Perform other duties as and when needed.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: AED3,500.00 - AED5,000.00 per month
