The Inventory Manager will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the company’s inventory management function across all divisions, including Civil Contracting, MEP, Interior Fit-Out, Cleaning Services, and Facility Management. This role is vital to ensuring efficient stock control, timely material availability, accurate documentation, and cost-effective practices to support our ongoing projects and operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain effective inventory control systems across multiple divisions.
- Monitor stock levels and ensure optimum availability of materials, tools, consumables, and assets.
- Establish and enforce policies for receiving, issuing, returning, and storing materials.
- Collaborate with Project Managers, Engineers, and Procurement teams to forecast material requirements.
- Ensure timely delivery of project-specific items to avoid delays and downtime.
- Coordinate with vendors and logistics teams to manage delivery schedules.
- Maintain accurate stock records in ERP or inventory management systems.
- Conduct regular cycle counts, stock audits, and resolve discrepancies.
- Generate reports on stock movement, consumption trends, and wastage.
- Implement strategies to minimize holding costs while preventing shortages.
- Identify slow-moving, excess, or obsolete items and propose corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, budgetary controls, and ISO standards.
- Supervise and train storekeepers and inventory staff across multiple sites.
- Enforce safety, health, and environmental regulations in storage areas.
- Support audits and regulatory compliance requirements.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum 15 years’ experience in inventory/store management, with at least 10 years in the construction/contracting industry.
- Mandatory experience handling multi-division operations (Civil, MEP, Interior, FM, Cleaning).
- Should be able to manage a team size of 40–45 employees.
- Professional certification (e.g., CIPS, APICS) preferred.
- Strong knowledge of inventory control methods, supply chain, and warehousing practices.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar).
- Excellent planning, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Strong communication, coordination, and leadership capabilities.
