In addition to our core studio, we also operate Quarters, a multifaceted retail and hospitality space, further expanding our creative and operational footprint across multiple entities.

We’re seeking a methodical and detail-oriented Inventory Manager to join our team full-time. This role oversees inventory logistics and control across our Studio and Warehouse, requiring analytical thinking, strong organizational skills, and effective cross-functional communication. You’ll manage inventory accuracy, warehouse organization, receiving operations, quality control, and support logistics coordination. You’ll deliver data-driven insights and recommendations that contribute to overall operational accuracy and efficiency across Supply Chain teams.

The ideal candidate combines systems-oriented problem-solving with a collaborative approach and thrives in a fast-paced, creative environment. You’ll report to the Director of Supply Chain and work closely with cross-departmental teams to ensure accurate inventory, efficient operations, and readiness to support production and fulfillment.

Key Responsibilities

Inventory Control & Order Optimization (30%)

  • Own accurate inventory counts across all locations, ensuring data integrity and real-time visibility.
  • Establish and execute cycle counting procedures and system audits to prevent discrepancies.
  • Track and reconcile valuation variances or shrinkage; report findings to Finance for accurate accounting.
  • Ensure inventory is correctly allocated to support fulfillment readiness for all orders and projected sales.
  • Manage and execute pre-production of stocked components.
  • Apply inventory management techniques such as first-in, first-out (FIFO) and reorder point optimization.
  • Partner with the Production and Procurement teams to forecast material needs and ensure availability of critical components.
  • Manage Grade A components and maintain the related tracking system. .

Warehouse & Studio Management (25%)

  • Oversee and execute the organization of inventory across all locations.
  • Plan and maintain physical space allocation for new and existing products in line with forecasted inventory levels.
  • Manage version control for components and finished products to ensure traceability.
  • Enforce safety procedures, and compliance standards (e.g., OSHA, fire code)
  • Ensure warehouse and studio spaces remain organized, efficient, and audit-ready at all times.
  • Supervise and train supporting team members on inventory handling, receiving, and labeling procedures.
  • Coordinate with third-party storage vendors and logistics partners as needed to ensure accurate inventory levels and transfers.

Reporting & Systems Optimization(15%)

  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for process improvement.
  • Partner with Business Operations to reconcile projections to actual material usage.
  • Develop and maintain real-time dashboards tracking key inventory KPIs (turnover rate, accuracy, carrying cost, etc.)
  • Present quarterly data on grade A stock, dead stock, and quarantined items, along with recommendations for action.
  • Support continuous improvement of inventory management systems and processes; partner with Business Operations to evaluate, implement, and optimize new tools as the business scales.
  • Document and maintain all procedures related to inventory, labeling, warehouse organization and reporting for audit and training purposes.

Shipping & Receiving (30%)

  • Prepare warehouse and studio spaces for incoming shipments and maintain readiness for daily operations.
  • Oversee and execute the physical receipt of package, pallet, and container shipments; update inventory system accurately upon receipt.
  • Match bills and packing lists against purchase orders; communicate discrepancies to the Procurement Manager.
  • Conduct visual and quality checks on all incoming materials and components. Flag nonconformities, initiate corrective actions with the Procurement Manager.
  • Collaborate with Logistics Manager on carrier-related issues or claims.
  • Collaborate with the Logistics Manager to maintain inventory readiness for both internal and external fulfillment needs.

Manager Level Expectations

  • Lead and develop team members while fostering accountability, collaboration, and professional growth.
  • Translate strategic goals into actionable team plans that align with department and organizational objectives.
  • Manage team performance by defining success metrics, monitoring outcomes, and ensuring high-quality execution.
  • Coordinate resources and priorities with peers and cross-functional teams to align efforts and achieve results.
  • Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities, optimizing processes, and enhancing team outcomes.

Requirements

  • 4–7 years of relevant professional experience, with 1–3 years in a supervisory or project lead capacity, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of inventory control principles.
  • Proficiency with manufacturing processes, BOMs (Bills of Materials), and supply chain logistics.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems and inventory management software.
  • Experience managing individuals or leading small teams.
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.

Studio + Compensation

  • This is a full-time position based in Gowanus, Brooklyn
  • Hours are Monday–Friday from 9 am to 6 pm EST
  • $90,000 - $120,000 annually, commensurate with experience
  • Benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance (with 100% monthly premium coverage options), generous PTO, a 401(k) with employer match, and profit sharing.
