Inventory Manager
The Inventory Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of inventory management, ensuring accurate product tracking, compliance with state regulations, and efficient operational flow. This role is critical for maintaining inventory integrity, supporting front-of-house operations, and optimizing back-of-house processes. The Inventory Manager will manage a team, handle purchasing duties, and contribute to strategic decisions related to inventory and procurement.
The ideal candidate is tech-savvy, analytical, detail-oriented, and excels at process implementation, vendor relations, team coordination, and purchasing.

Key Responsibilities
Inventory Oversight & Accuracy
- Monitor and maintain accurate inventory records utilizing the POS system (Treez) and other tracking systems
- Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly inventory counts, reconciliations, and audits to ensure stock levels match system records
- Identify discrepancies, missing inventory, or unusual patterns, and implement corrective action to prevent recurrence
- Manage product intake, storage, and restocking to ensure smooth operational flow and regulatory compliance
Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure all inventory processes are compliant with local and state cannabis regulations
- Maintain meticulous records for reporting, audits, and inspections
- Proactively identify potential compliance risks and implement preventative measures
- Prepare for and support scheduled or surprise audits and inspections
- Process Improvement & SOP Development
- Streamline inventory processes to increase efficiency and accuracy.
- Assist in drafting, updating, and implementing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to inventory management
- Analyze workflow, trends, and reporting data to optimize inventory practices
Process Improvement & SOP Development

Reporting & Data Analysis
- Generate, interpret, and act on reports related to inventory, sales trends, product turnover, and vendor performance
- Identify slow-moving, high-risk, or at-risk products and recommend actionable strategies
Vendor & Team Coordination
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors, ensuring accurate deliveries and minimizing recurring errors
- Collaborate with the Manager, Assistant Manager, and other department leads to maintain operational continuity
- Train and support team members in inventory processes, ensuring compliance and efficiency
Team Management
- Lead, supervise, and coordinate a team of inventory associates to ensure smooth day-to-day operations
- Conduct team meetings to provide updates, reinforce best practices, and foster a collaborative work environment
- Provide ongoing training and development for team members to enhance their skills and ensure adherence to company policies and regulatory standards
- Monitor individual and team performance, providing constructive feedback and recognition
Purchasing & Procurement
- Manage the purchasing process to ensure optimal stock levels, and reduce costs while maintaining product quality
- Work with vendors to negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and order quantities to meet the company’s needs
- Analyze product trends and sales data to inform purchasing decisions, ensuring the right products are ordered at the right time
- Coordinate with the Operations to ensure purchase orders are aligned with budget forecasts
Requirements
- Minimum 21 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree or cannabis-related certifications a plus
- 3+ years of experience in inventory management, retail operations, warehouse, or compliance-heavy environments (cannabis industry experience strongly preferred)
- Proficiency with inventory management systems (e.g., METRC, Treez, Dutchie) and familiarity with basic inventory control principles
- Comfortable with technology, including POS systems, digital menus, and reporting tools (Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, etc.)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret reports and identify trends
- Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to differentiate visually similar products based on labels, SKUs, and batch numbers
- Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to train, coach, and support team members
- Ability to manage and motivate a team to meet operational goals and maintain high standards of accuracy and compliance
- Experience in purchasing and procurement, with a focus on product quality, cost management, and vendor relations
- Experience coordinating with cross-functional teams (e.g., Finance, Management, Vendors)
- Self-motivated and proactive; able to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment
- Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Physically capable of standing for extended periods and lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Manual dexterity for handling cannabis products and equipment
- Comfortable working in environments with strong cannabis aromas
- Willingness to undergo background checks and adhere to all applicable cannabis laws and regulation
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Pay: $24.00 - $26.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20.0 – 40.0 per week
