Inventory Planner

Job Title: Retail Inventory Planner – Jewelry
Location: Prabhadevi,Mumbai

Role Overview: The Retail Inventory Planner will be responsible for demand forecasting, Open-to-Buy (OTB) planning, stock allocation, replenishment, and inventory optimization across online and offline channels. This role ensures the right product mix, availability, and stock turns while supporting revenue growth and minimizing inventory risk. Prior experience in jewelry planning / merchandising is essential.

Key Responsibilities:
OTB & Financial Planning: Build, manage, and track monthly/seasonal OTB plans aligned with business targets; Monitor budgets vs actuals, recommend re-buys, markdowns, and replenishments; Support assortment planning aligned to price points, collections, categories, and trends.
Demand Forecasting & Inventory Management: Prepare sales, demand and stock forecasts by category/store/channel; Ensure optimal stock levels – avoid both overstocking and stock-outs; Plan new launches, seasonal drops, bestsellers, slow movers and EOSS; Track product lifecycle – introduction to exit planning.
Allocation & Replenishment: Allocate inventory across stores, online, marketplaces, SIS & MBOs; Define replenishment norms based on sell-thru and store performance; Ensure smooth inwarding coordination with warehouse, supply chain and stores.
Analysis & Reporting: Weekly/monthly MIS on sell-thru %, stock cover, ageing, stock turns, category performance; Identify trends, build insights, and support business decisions; Competitor benchmarking & price positioning understanding (preferred).
Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with Buying, Merchandising, Warehouse, Retail Operations, Finance & Vendors; Support buying decisions with data-backed recommendations.

Candidate Profile: 3–6 years experience in retail planning/inventory planning; Industry: Jewelry / Fashion / Luxury / Accessories (Jewelry preferred); Strong understanding of OTB, Sell-through, Stock Cover, GMROI, Markdown planning; Advanced Excel; familiarity with ERP/planning tools preferred; Strong analytical, commercial & problem-solving mindset.
