Purpose of the Role
The Inventory & Procurement Officer will be responsible for managing purchasing activities, vendor relationships, and inventory control to ensure smooth supply of products, materials, and equipment. The role is crucial in supporting GharPar’s operational efficiency and service delivery by ensuring availability of resources at the right time, cost, and quality.
Key Responsibilities
Procurement
- Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers/vendors to ensure cost-effective purchasing.
- Prepare purchase orders and contracts in line with company policies.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors and service providers.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies and ethical standards.
- Monitor market trends and identify opportunities for better pricing and supply terms.
Inventory Management
- Maintain accurate records of stock levels, receipts, and issuances.
- Regularly update inventory databases/software and generate reports.
- Conduct routine stock checks and reconcile physical inventory with records.
- Monitor usage patterns and forecast demand to avoid stockouts or overstocking.
- Ensure proper storage, handling, and security of inventory items.
Coordination & Reporting
- Work closely with Finance and Operations for budget tracking and cost control.
- Provide timely reports on procurement activities, stock status, and vendor performance.
- Support audits by maintaining transparent and systematic records.
- Assist in organizing logistics for procurement and distribution of materials.
- Perform other tasks assigned by management related to supply chain operations.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field.
- Experience: 2–3 years in procurement and inventory management.
- Skills:
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office; knowledge of inventory software preferred.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Understanding of procurement regulations and best practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently with integrity and accountability.
