JOB TITLE: Inventory & Warehouse Manager
Department: Operations / Supply Chain
Reports To: Commercial Director
Location: UAE
JOB PURPOSE
To manage the end-to-end operations of the warehouse and inventory control function for the company’s fresh-produce business. The role ensures optimal stock accuracy, cold-chain integrity, efficient material flow, and compliance with food safety standards — supporting daily sales, HORECA dispatches, and retail replenishment while minimizing wastage and losses.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
A. Inventory Management
- Maintain accurate real-time stock levels for all produce categories across main warehouse and satellite stores.
- Oversee daily stock reconciliation between ERP records, physical counts, and purchase/sales transactions.
- Ensure strict implementation of FIFO/FEFO (First-In-First-Out / First-Expired-First-Out).
- Monitor expiry, shrinkage, wastage, and report daily spoilage % by category.
- Coordinate with procurement and sales teams on reorder levels, slow-moving and over-stocked SKUs.
- Approve and verify all stock adjustments, returns, and transfers.
B. Warehouse Operations Management
- Lead and supervise warehouse team across receiving, grading, storage, and dispatch zones.
- Plan and execute daily loading/unloading schedules aligned with inbound (import/local purchase) and outbound (sales & HORECA orders).
- Ensure temperature segregation (ambient/chiller/freezer) as per produce type.
- Optimize warehouse layout for maximum space utilization and picking efficiency.
- Monitor handling standards to minimize product damage and maintain quality.
- Oversee housekeeping, hygiene, pest control, and waste segregation.
- Conduct daily toolbox meetings and safety briefings.
C. Cold Chain and Food Safety Compliance
- Ensure continuous temperature monitoring and record keeping.
- Coordinate with QA/HSE for compliance with Dubai Municipality and MOCCAE standards.
- Maintain calibration and maintenance schedule for chillers, scales, and thermometers.
- Ensure warehouse operations follow HACCP and ISO 22000 requirements.
D. Team and Resource Management
- Supervise and train warehouse supervisors, forklift operators, pickers, and inventory controllers.
- Manage manpower allocation for peak/off-peak hours.
- Monitor overtime, productivity, and labor cost control.
- Evaluate staff performance and skill levels; initiate continuous improvement and training.
E. Systems and Reporting
- Ensure full utilization of ERP/WMS (Inventory module, barcode scanners, GRN, GDN).
- Submit daily/weekly reports: stock summary, variance report, wastage %, productivity, and order-fulfilment accuracy.
- Support monthly stock audits and external auditor verifications.
- Continuously improve data accuracy and process efficiency through system automation.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum 8–10 years’ experience in warehouse/inventory operations; at least 3 years in fresh produce, FMCG,, cold chain facilities.
- Previous Experience in 3PL Operations preferred.
- Knowledge of ERP/WMS (e.g., Focus, Oracle, SAP).
- Strong understanding of UAE food safety and cold-storage regulations.
- Leadership experience managing multicultural teams in fast-paced environments.
