About this opportunity:

We are hiring an experienced Spanish-speaking Investigations Counsel in America within Ericsson’s Corporate and Government Investigations (CGI) group within Group Function Legal Affairs & Compliance (GFLA). Ericsson’s CGI team is responsible for the investigation of potential legal and compliance violations within Ericsson and is a critical support in ensuring the efficiency and credibility of the Company’s ethics & compliance program, defending Ericsson's dedication to integrity in its culture and ways of working, building trust with its stakeholders, including enforcement authorities, and ultimately driving the company’s sustainable success. The Americas hub conducts investigations in North, Central and South America, and supports other global investigations as needed.

What you will do:
  • Provide legal counsel on internal and cross-border investigations, including complex and sensitive matters.
  • Ensure proper application and preservation of attorney-client privilege; oversee investigations conducted under privilege, utilizing internal resources or external counsel as appropriate.
  • Manage and supervise external legal counsel involved in investigations and related legal issues.
  • Collaborate with internal teams handling government investigations and civil litigation linked to investigative matters.
  • Conduct thorough and legally compliant internal investigations into reported violations of the Code of Business Ethics, ensuring forensic integrity, fairness, and timeliness.
  • Draft clear, well-structured investigation reports and support colleagues in preparing written findings.
  • Keep relevant stakeholders informed of investigation progress and findings, and deliver concise summaries to support decision-making.
  • Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of investigation-related policies and procedures.
  • Uphold the highest standards of integrity, objectivity, and fairness, applying sound legal judgment in complex and ambiguous situations.
  • Support the creation of strategies and processes to mitigate compliance risk based on patterns and findings from investigations.
  • Assist with stakeholder reporting, including root cause analyses and the identification of lessons learned to drive continuous improvement.
The skills you bring:
  • A law degree from an accredited law school
  • Admission and good standing in a state bar
  • 7+ years’ experience handling complex investigations, litigation, and/or regulatory enforcement matters, including interacting with prosecutors and regulators in the United States
  • Experience working directly with and reporting findings to senior stakeholders on significant investigations or legal issues
  • Experience working in a matrixed environment or with cross-functional teams
  • Experience independently handling and managing multiple complex matters simultaneously
  • Fluency in English and Spanish (oral and written)
  • Experience in-house at a multi-national company or at a global law firm advising multi-national businesses
  • E-discovery experience and Compliance experience
