Investment Analyst

1. Investment Analysis & Financial Modelling

  • Build detailed financial models to evaluate hotel acquisitions and dispositions (DCF, IRR, ROI, sensitivity analysis).
  • Analyse operating metrics including ADR, RevPAR, occupancy rates, and NOI.
  • Assess potential value-add strategies to improve hotel operations and resale value.

2. Market & Sector Research

  • Research hotel markets, tourism trends, regulatory changes, and competitive landscapes.
  • Identify emerging opportunities in mid-range and upscale hotel segments.
  • Prepare market reports to inform investment strategy and risk assessment.

3. Due Diligence & Risk Assessment

  • Support the due diligence process on potential acquisitions, including financial, operational, legal, and regulatory reviews.
  • Work with external advisors (legal, appraisal, and consulting firms) to validate investment assumptions.
  • Identify risks and propose mitigation strategies.

4. Reporting & Presentation

  • Prepare investment memoranda, board papers, and presentations for the Investment Committee.
  • Produce regular portfolio performance reports and variance analyses.
  • Support Marketing / IR teams with financial data and charts for investor materials.

5. Collaboration

  • Work closely with Product Specialists to align investment strategy with market insights.
  • Collaborate with operations, accounting, and risk management teams to monitor portfolio performance.
  • Maintain up-to-date databases on hotels, market transactions, and investment opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Real Estate, Economics, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 2–5 years of experience in real estate private equity, investment banking, or hotel asset management.
  • Strong proficiency in financial modelling and Excel; experience with Argus or similar platforms is a plus.
  • Deep understanding of hotel operations, valuation metrics, and real estate markets.
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills – able to translate complex data into clear insights for management and investors.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment.
