The Company

Our client is an asset management Company in the DIFC offering outsourced Chief Investment Officer (CIO) asset management, advisory and arranging services to Family Offices, High Net Worth Individuals and Corporate Portfolio clients in the Middle East. They have extensive investment knowledge, with professional and client networks and seek to provide high quality advisory and asset management support to clients in the region.

The Company will provide its services either on an advisory basis, or via the provision of outsourced CIO services, managing portfolios of assets, depending on the needs of the client.

Job purpose

The investment analyst will be responsible for ensuring the Company has all the relevant facts prior to making investment decisions. The successful candidate will have expertise in evaluating complex financial data and investment information and will then present this information to the relevant portfolio managers. You should be able to maintain up-to-date knowledge of investment products and have a good understanding of the asset management business.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Play a crucial role in the evaluation and execution of global investment opportunities.

• Monitoring markets, preparing research reports, and generating investment ideas.

• Co-ordination of the due diligence process and investment execution.

• Construction, monitoring and ongoing evaluation and analysis of portfolio investments, including P&L analysis and risk management.

• Involvement in all aspects of the transaction process, from sourcing and analysis to the execution of any investment opportunities including due diligence, financial modelling, and the creation of investment materials.

• Presenting investment opportunities to the Senior Management Team.

• Supporting all portfolio management activities, including devising new strategic business plans where necessary

• Conduct market research to understand industry dynamics, market size, growth trends, and competitive landscape.

• Analyse market opportunities and risks associated with potential investments, helping the firm make informed investment decisions.

• Support to the investment team in various tasks, such as preparing materials for senior management meetings, coordinating with external parties involved in due diligence, and managing communication with entrepreneurs and founders.

Skills and Experience

• Our client seeks an analytical candidate with excellent interpersonal skills. Must be able to support their clients in a positive manner.

• A proactive and goal-oriented candidate with high attention to detail is essential for this role.

• A background in asset management is a must.

Experience (essential to any successful application)

• Minimum of 5-15 years’ experience in asset management / wealth management / private banking front office role.

• I.T background using excel and financial modelling is essential for this role.

• Experience in evaluating investment solutions across diverse assets classes is essential. Focus should be on the private market including close-ended funds, private equity, private credit and private real estate.

• Must have experience with Sharia compliant solutions.
