The Investment Analyst 1 – Equities position supports the Director of Equities and dedicated investment management team in the research and support of the Quality Core Equity portfolio. The role aims to develop analytical skills for stock analysis and individual stock portfolio construction. The analyst contributes both day-to-day less than span style="background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 1); color: rgba(55, 65, 81, 1)">and special projects associated with portfolio management, research, and reporting.less than /span>
Essential Functions/Responsibilities
  • Assists with various tasks related to the day-to-day monitoring and reporting on the Quality Core Equity and investment universe.
  • Collaborates with leadership on individual stock, industry & sector research, analysis and reporting.
  • Quality, and clarity of due diligence reports, including investment theses of individual holdings in Quality Core.
  • Active participation in team meetings, research discussions, and brainstorming sessions.
  • Responsiveness to research requests and completion of special projects.
  • Accuracy of data collected and entered into portfolio management systems (e.g., Tamarac).
  • Ability to work independently, adhering to deadlines for daily, weekly, and monthly reporting requirements.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Needed to Perform Essential Functions of the Job
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or related field.
  • 1-2 years of financial services experience.
  • Willingness to work towards a CFA designation to develop pertinent knowledge base.
  • Commitment to professional development and staying abreast on current business issues, trends, and best practices.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • Experience in Microsoft suite.
  • Communication skillset both in written and oral.
  • Demonstrates initiative and ability to work both independently and in a team environment.

Level of Complexity and Scope
  • Focuses on entry-level responsibilities related to stock analysis, industry and sector research, reporting, and basic portfolio monitoring.
  • Work assignments typically involve routine to moderately complex research tasks with structured guidelines and processes.
  • The position requires the ability to synthesize third-party research, manage multiple projects with competing deadlines, and perform quantitative and qualitative analysis under supervision.
Degree of Independence and Decision-Making
  • Decisions are typically procedural and within defined parameters, such as gathering data, preparing basic analyses, and compiling reports.
  • Collaborates with senior roles.

Physical Requirements
  • Work is performed primarily in a standard office environment.
  • The position requires long periods of sitting, operating a computer, and using standard office equipment. Occasional light lifting (such as files or documents up to 10 pounds) may be required.
  • The job requires visual concentration for reviewing research materials and reports.

This includes all Bank Secrecy Act, Anti-Money Laundering, OFAC and Suspicious Activity reporting requirements, as well as all other lending and deposit compliance requirements.
Development and Training
Pay Range: $58,000/year to $77,000/year
