Position

We are seeking a highly motivated Analyst or Associate to join the FinTech vertical within our broader FIG team in New York. This is an opportunity to work on high‑impact transactions across some of the most innovative and strategically important areas of financial markets infrastructure and trading technology.

Responsibilities

As an Analyst / Associate, you will be an integral part of deal teams and client workstreams, supporting the origination and execution of M&A, IPOs, private placements, and strategic advisory mandates. Responsibilities include:

Analytical & Execution Responsibilities

• Performing company and industry research across market structure, trading technology, and capital markets platforms
• Building and maintaining detailed financial models (DCF, trading comps, precedent transactions)
• Conducting valuation analyses and preparing supporting materials
• Assisting in the preparation of client deliverables including pitchbooks, management presentations, CIMs, and investor materials
• Supporting transaction execution, including due diligence coordination, process management, and interaction with legal, accounting, and technical advisors

Client & Internal Collaboration

• Working closely with senior bankers across FIG and product partners in M&A, ECM, DCM, and Leveraged Finance
• Interfacing with clients, investors, and counterparties as appropriate for your level
• Developing a strong understanding of market structure trends, trading technologies, regulatory frameworks (SEC, CFTC, MiFID II), and competitive market dynamics

Team Contribution

• Providing analytical, organizational, and process support across multiple live deals and pitches
• Assisting in training and mentoring new analysts or interns as appropriate
• Contributing to internal knowledge-building around FinTech and market infrastructure

Required Experience

• 1–3 years of experience for Analyst candidates; 3+ years for Associate candidates (investment banking, private equity, corporate development, or related financial services roles)
• Strong interest in market structure, trading technology, and capital markets innovation
• Solid understanding of financial modeling, valuations, and transaction processes
• Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a desire to build expertise in a rapidly evolving sector
