Investment Operations Analyst

Position Summary

The primary focus of the Investment Operations Analyst is to analyze processes, identify opportunities for improvement, and help implement operational efficiencies across the Investment Department. The candidate should possess a strong understanding of the wealth management industry.

Key responsibilities and objectives:

  • Analyze, research, and remain current on the processes within the Investment Department and help generate and implement solutions to improve efficiency
  • Work with a multi-disciplinary team to help design and implement a new or enhanced order management and execution management system
  • Assist with general investment platform projects
  • Enhance and produce Investment Department management reports
  • Inventory internal reports, alerts and other systematic communication that are sent
  • Work with team to create and improve tools and processes utilized by client advisors for making asset allocation and investment decisions pertaining to client portfolios
  • Help team to answer questions from client advisors pertaining to specific securities, asset classes, portfolios, or economic issues
  • Special projects, as needed

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree, 6-10+ years in finance or a related field
  • Excellent quantitative, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Excellent capabilities in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Familiarity with OMS/EMS systems such as Longview and Charles River as well as financial software such as Bloomberg and / or FactSet
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a team-oriented environment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Collaborative, highly energetic, proactive, positive, and flexible in the face of internal and external challenges
  • Graduate degree and/or CFA designation a plus

Securities licenses will not generally be obtained or maintained unless deemed by Bessemer Trust to be required in order for you to perform the responsibilities of this position.

The base salary range for this position is $125,000 - $150,000 per year. This range reflects the minimum and maximum base salary we reasonably expect to pay for this role. In addition, this position may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit's incentive compensation plan, and other compensation programs as applicable. Eligible employees may participate in a 401(k) program with a generous profit-sharing contribution, medical, prescription dental, and vision coverage; life insurance; disability coverage; paid holidays; vacation; and sick time, subject to plan terms and Company policies.
