The Investor Relations Communications Specialist is responsible for crafting clear, accurate, and compelling written materials that support the company’s communication with investors, analysts, and other financial stakeholders. This role partners closely with Investor Relations, Finance, and Executive Leadership to translate complex financial and strategic information into polished scripts and narratives for earnings calls, investor days, conference presentations, and other external communications.
Key Responsibilities
  • Write and edit scripts for quarterly earnings calls, including prepared remarks and Q&A support materials.
  • Create visual representations of financial and business data to enhance investor understanding.
  • Partner with Investor Relations, Finance, and Legal teams to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance in all investor communications.
  • Develop executive level talking points, briefing documents, and narrative frameworks for investor conferences, roadshows, and investor days.
  • Translate financial results, guidance, and long-term strategy into clear, concise, and investor appropriate messaging.
  • Incorporate feedback from senior leaders and iterate quickly under tight deadlines, particularly around earnings cycles.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of the company’s business model, financial performance, competitive landscape, and investor messaging priorities.
  • Support ad hoc investor communications as needed, including FAQs, messaging documents, and executive prep materials.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required from an accredited, not-for-profit, in-person college/university.
  • 5+ years of professional writing experience in executive-facing, external communications, investor relations, financial communications, or related environment.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to synthesize complex financial and strategic information into clear, engaging narratives.
  • Experience working under tight deadlines and managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with earnings cycles, SEC-regulated communications, and public company disclosure considerations.
  • A track record of commitment to prior employers.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Preferred bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, English, finance, business.
  • Comfort partnering with C-suite executives and influencing through written communication.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to quickly learn new industries or business models.
  • Experience supporting a public company earnings cycle and/or collaborating on regulated external communications.
  • Familiarity partnering with Finance/FP&A and Legal/Compliance stakeholders on messaging that involves financial performance, KPIs, and forward-looking statements.
