Invoice Quality Control Specialist

Position Overview

NSD is seeking a results-oriented professional to join a growing Accounts Receivable department managing over $350M in revenue annually.

The Invoice Quality Control Specialist is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and compliance of all invoices processed within the organization. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel to identify discrepancies, prevent errors, and maintain high standards of financial integrity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and validate invoices for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company policies and contractual terms.
  • Analyze invoice data to identify trends, discrepancies, and potential issues.
  • Collaborate with internal departments and the accounting team to resolve invoice-related discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate records of invoice reviews and corrective actions taken.
  • Develop and implement quality control procedures to improve invoice accuracy and efficiency.
  • Utilize Excel for data analysis, reporting, and reconciliation tasks.
  • Prepare periodic reports on invoice quality metrics and present findings to management.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 3-5-years of accounts receivable experience.

Technical & Soft Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and adaptable to utilizing new software. Accounting software knowledge (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, or Oracle) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of internal controls and audit procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.

Knowledge and Skills:

To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies to perform the essential functions of this position.

  • Must always maintain the highest level of Confidentiality.
  • Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Proficient computer skills: Must have a working knowledge of Excel and Word, and must have comfort level with learning new software
  • Typing and ten key experience, with high accuracy and speed
  • Ability to multi-task, follow up, and meet deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to identify discrepancies and take initiative to research variances and correct

Hours Required:

Monday – Friday 8:30 am – 5:00 pm with occasional overtime as needed
